We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired word of God, inerrant in the original writing, and are the supreme and final authority.
We believe that God is a sovereign, living, intelligent, rational being, eternally existing in three persons; namely, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that He has a plan for man and for the universe. We believe He has the will, power, and authority and is actively engaged in carrying that plan to completion.
We believe in the literal Genesis account of a 7 day creation week. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation of God; and that all human beings since the fall are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word, and deed.
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, a virgin, and is true God and man.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and His resurrection.
We believe in the “eternal security” of the believer; that it is impossible for one born into the family of God ever to be lost.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there as High Priest and Advocate.
We believe in “that blessed hope” – the personal, premillennial, pretribulational, and imminent return or our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when all the saved in Christ will be “gathered unto Him.”
We believe in the literal fulfillment of the prophecies and promises of the Scriptures which foretell and assure the future regeneration of Israel as a nation.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
We believe in the “soul liberty” of every individual. Soul liberty is the implementation of the truth that “we must obey God rather than men.” Every man must give an answer to God individually; therefore, no other man or church can act as his conscience now. He has, as a believer, the Holy Spirit to guide and enable him apart from any other ministry of man or the church.
We believe in the priesthood of all believers; that all believers have immediate access into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus; that we need no human agency to intercede for us before the throne of grace; and that Jesus Christ is our only mediator before God.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
We believe the local church is a body of baptized (immersed) believers in Christ organized to meet together for the purpose of observing the ordinances and to carry out the principles, precepts, and commission of Christ.)
We believe that the Scriptural ordinances of the Church are baptism (by immersion) and the Lord’s Supper; that baptism should be administered to believers only as a symbol of their belief in the death, burial and resurrection our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a testimony to the world of that belief; and that the Lord’s Supper should be partaken of by obedient believers only, to show forth Christ’s death until He comes.
We believe in the sovereignty and independence of each local church from any centralized power, whether from other churches, denominations or the State. We believe in the separation of Church and State. We believe in obeying the “powers that be” of government except when they seek to cause us to violate the commands of God’s Word.
